Hailey-Memorial-Day
The 23rd Annual Hailey Memorial Day Ceremony will honor the over 445 veterans from Blaine County laid to rest at the Hailey Cemetery.  A young boy, Joshua Dyer wrote in his poem “these men live on forever in the hearts of those they saved, a nation truly grateful, for the path of peace they paved”.
The Hailey Memorial is a day to share this memory and honor those lives. Please join us at the Hailey Cemetery for a community gathering in remembrance of our fallen Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors and Marines who we must never forget. It is a time we can thank them for their service and the freedoms they have given us.
We will be joined by Mountain Home Air Force Base Honor Guard and the Idaho Army National Guard. Music by the members of Caritas Chorale and the Boise Highlander Bagpipers members will be a highlight to remember.  Gracing our skies will be a 4-plane flyover at 11:30 am.
The Hailey Cemetery will be decorated from Friday May 24th to dusk Monday May 27th with American Flags and a carnation placed on every known veteran’s gravesite.
We encourage everyone to come help us honor the true meaning of Memorial Day.  While we can never fully repay our debt to America’s fallen warriors and their families, we can remember their service and honor their sacrifice.  For more information or to volunteer during the weekend events, please call 208-720-7395 OR 208-788-2007.
